Terms of use

1. Who we are
Crew Stays ("we", "us") is an online noticeboard that helps people who work in film and television find, sublet and swap accommodation while they travel for work. The service is operated by Tulaa Studio Limited. Contact: hello@tulaastudio.com.
2. What Crew Stays is — and isn't
We provide a place for verified crew to list homes, post what they need and message each other. We are not a party to any arrangement between members. We don't own, inspect, manage or insure any property or vehicle, we don't act as a real-estate agent, and we don't collect or hold rent. Any stay, sublet, swap or car arrangement is a private agreement between the members involved.
3. Accounts and verification
- You must be 18 or over and give accurate information about yourself.
- Verification means we've checked reasonable evidence that you work in the screen industry. It is not a background, identity, credit or reference check, and it is not a guarantee about anyone's conduct.
- Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- We may decline, suspend or remove verification or accounts that break these terms or put members at risk.
4. Membership
- Browsing and listing are free. Messaging hosts, requesting stays and posting needs require a paid yearly membership and a verified badge.
- Membership is billed yearly through Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel renewal at any time; access continues to the end of the paid year.
- We don't charge booking fees or take a share of rent.
- Refunds: if you cancel within 14 days of first joining and haven't messaged any host, we'll refund your first year on request. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.
5. Hosting your place
- You must have the right to offer your place. If you rent, check your lease, strata by-laws and local short-stay rules, and get any consent you need, before listing.
- Describe your place honestly — including whether it's a whole place or a room, who else lives there, and any pets.
- You're responsible for your own insurance, tax and any legal obligations that come with hosting.
6. Staying, swapping and cars
- Agree dates, rent, bond, house rules and what happens if a shoot runs over directly with your host or swap partner, in writing.
- Any bond, agreement or check-in record features are tools to help you; they don't make Crew Stays responsible for the arrangement.
- Cars are private arrangements between members. Make sure the driver is properly insured before any car is driven. Crew Stays doesn't book, insure or take responsibility for vehicles.
7. Behaving well
No discrimination, harassment, scams, misleading listings, spam or sharing other members' details outside the platform without consent. Don't use Crew Stays to advertise to members or to recruit for unrelated work.
8. Content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to display it on Crew Stays so the service works. Only upload photos you have the right to use.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss or damage arising from arrangements between members, from the condition of any property or vehicle, or from members' conduct. Where our liability can't be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding your most recent membership fee.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here and, for significant changes, let members know by email.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
